Bhubaneswar: The State Steel and Mines department has convened a meeting with the president of All Odisha Steel Federation (AOSF) today for a discussion on the various demands raised by the steel lobby group.
The Steel and Mines minister Rajanikant Singh has consented to meet the AOSF representatives headed by its President P.L.Kandoi.
In may be noted that, the federation had raised several issues the state based steel firms are facing since last few years.
The issues likely come up in today's meeting includes reservation of 50% minerals for the state based steel firms, Iron ore fine of 0-10mm for sponge iron units, Resumption of Dispatches of iron ore for Baliparvat stockyard in Daitary mines area, ministerial Committee report on public domain and its implementation, Mining Lease to eligible steel plants, Operation of closed mines by OMC under JV agreement on Long Term basis with unit area wise on consortium basis.
