Standalone pellet plants’ iron ore sourcing was down 19% when compared monthly and stood at 0.712 MnT in Feb’17 compared to 0.877 MnT in Jan’17
KIOCL’s iron ore sourcing up by 18% in Feb’17 – KIOCL sourced 0.20 MnT iron ore from NMDC (C.G.) in Feb’17 against 0.19 MnT in Jan’17. However it imported a quantity 0.06 MnT in the month of Feb but had no other purchases.
BRPL’s iron ore sourcing down by 28% in Feb’17 – BRPL reduced its iron ore sourcing by 28% M-o-M from 0.31 MnT in Jan’17 to 0.23 MnT in Feb’17. Manufacturer’s sourcing from MESCO increased last month while sourcing from KN Ram, KJS Ahluwalia and Rungta Mines declined this month. Company exported no quantity for the month but had a purchase of 1894 MT iron ore from Essel Mining in Feb’17.
Arya Iron & Steel iron ore sourcing marginally down by 3% M-o-M – Barbil based pellet maker – Arya iron & steel sourced 0.09 MnT iron ore in Feb’17. The pellet manufacturer majorly procured iron ore from MESCO, Rungta Mines, KN Ram and Kaypee Enterprises.
OMM Adhunik reduced its iron ore sourcing by 19% in Feb’17 – Jamshedpur based pellet maker – OMM Adhunik iron ore sourcing moved down to the tune of 0.05 MnT in Feb’17 less 19% M-o-M from 0.06 MnT in Jan’17. Much of the iron ore sourced was from Kaypee Enterprises followed by Rungta Mines and Indrani Patnaik.
