Spot iron ore prices hit new record on robust demand

Spot iron ore price hit a new record on the back of robust demand and rising prices in Chinese ports. The price of Fe 62% fines gained 4.9% by $10.10/t d-o-d to $212.75 CFR China. Market sources saw increased seaborne interests for mainstream medium grade fines amid growing consumption of ores with higher than 60% Fe among Chinese steelmakers.
