Spot iron ore price inches up on stable demand outlook post-Chinese holidays

Spot price for iron ore Fe 62% fines inched up slightly by $0.90 d-o-d to $165.55/t CFR China as demand is expected to remain stable post-Lunar New Year holidays. According to sources, ‘There may not be an overall decrease in steel production after the Lunar New Year. Upcoming projects and new capacity are likely to bolster demand.’
