Spot HRC prices in China rise following Wuhan Steel price hike

Prices of hot rolled coil in Chinese domestic market increased further on Wednesday after Wuhan Steel in China announced an increase in its April prices.

Hot rolled coil of commercial grade 4.5-12mm in Shanghai is being traded at 4,300-4,310 yuan including VAT of 17% per tonne on Wednesday, which is up by 20 yuan from the previous day and 50 yuan higher than a week before.

It is the first time in three months that prices of commercial grade HRC have increased.
