Market for Premium Hard Coking coals in Asia dipped slightly
on the back of discount offerings from traders.
Currently the price for premium Low-volume and HCC 64
Mid-volume is at $159.50/MT and $144.50/MT (FOB Australia) converting to $175/MT
and $160/MT (CFR India) on Panamax Basis.
“Buyers have enough of stock available with them and the
stock in port is increasing due to the material available with traders”-said a
trader, I did not see any price increase in the near term he further added.
Whereas on the other hand a miner said that “Most mills have
restocked the coal” also the prices are likely to be cheaper he added.
