Prices for spot coking coal remained firm with liquidity
crunch in Asian market and low trading volumes in the market.
Currently the price for Premium low-volume stands at $161.50/MT (FOB Australia) converting to $178/MT India on Panamax basis with
prices remaining stable from the previous price on the other hand market for
HCC 64 mid volume stands at $141.50/MT(FOB) with slight decline in price by $0.50/MT.
Demand from India remained subdued with mills in the country
facing the credit issues. “There is no liquidity, all mills (big-small) are
facing cash flow problems,” a source in India said.
