Indian iron ore fines of 63.5/63 Fe remain unchanged at $152-153/t including cost and freight.Markets remained quiet on Friday morning after Bao steel, China's largest steel producer kept its steel prices unchanged for May.
” Markets were anticipating some hike in steel prices by Bao steel looking at high iron ore prices and rising steel futures in China. I feel iron ore prices in spot market will calm down for a while.” said a trader based in Shanghai.
It was also reported that Indian 63% Fe rejection was offered at $149.5/t, CFR (loading from Vizag port), where as 54% fe offered in the range of $114-116/t CFR.
PB fines was heard to be offering at $149.50/t CFR and Newman fines Fe 62.7% at $152.5/t CFR. These tenders have yet to conclude.
