Spot 63.5/63 iron ore fines remained steady at $136-137/t with limited buying interest.”There is no aggressive buying from Chinese steel mills as markets are still uncertain.Steel prices are volatile and buyers are reluctant to take positions.” said a iron ore importer based in China.
It is reported that BHP sold Newman fines of 62.7 Fe at around $136/t and Indian miner was heard offering 63.5/63 Fe fines at $138-139/t from Indian east coast but was unable to find any buyer.
Overall market looks stable with limited scope of correction in short term, said market analysts.
