South32 manganese ore output up sharply by 22%, q-o-q, in Apr-Jun’22

South32’s manganese ore production increased by 22% to 1.47 mnt in Apr-Jun’22 compared to the previous quarter. Output rose sharply supported by higher sales with customer’s demand for company’s premium products delivering strong price realisations.
Total production volume for FY22 (Jul’21-Jun’22) dropped marginally by 3% to 5.43 mnt from 5.59 mnt in FY21, of which output from Australia was at 3.36 mnt and South Africa was 2.07 mnt.
