South Korean Flat Steel Exports Fall by 5% M-o-M in Nov’16

According to the latest custom data released, South Korean flat  steel  exports  under  HS  code  7208  (hot rolled products),  7209  (cold rolled products), and  7225  (electrical sheets)  have  declined by 5% M-o-M basis to 1.32 MnT in Nov ‘16 as compared to 1.39 MnT in Oct’16.

On yearly basis also country’s flat steel exports witnessed downfall of 5% against previous year. In Nov’15 the country’s flat steel exports stood at 1.39 MnT.

In Nov’16 country’s flat products were majorly directed towards China followed by Japan and India.

So far in 2016 (i.e. Jan-Nov’16), nation’s flat steel exports stood at 14.73 MnT, down by
5.33 % against 15.56 MnT in similar time frame previous year.
