South Korea to expand nuclear power generation share to 33% by 2030

South Korea intends to expand its nuclear power generation share to nearly 33% of its total energy creation by 2030 to meet its net-zero targets. By 2030, the government plans to produce 201.7 terawatt hours (TWh) with nuclear power generation. Renewable energy will take up 21.5%, while coal and LNG would take up 21.2% and 20.9%.
