South Korea: Steel mills resume scrap bookings from Russia

  • Major South Korean steel mills have resumed contracts for Russian A3 scrap after a month’s gap, as per Steel Daily.
  • Dongkuk Steel booked a cargo containing 10,000 t at a price of $400/t CFR, which is expected to arrive in Nov’22.
  • South Korea imported 280,000 t of scrap in Aug as against 320,000 t in Jul, as per customs data.
