South Korea: Steel mills raise scrap buy prices by $8/t

  • South Korean steel producers have raised their scrap purchase prices by KRW 10,000/t ($8/t) with effect from 31 Jan’23, as per a SteelDaily report.
  • Daehan Steel, YK Steel and Korea Steel have increased their scrap buy prices for all grades after trimming prices on 11 Jan’23.
