South Korea: Steel exports rise 4%, m-o-m, in May

South Korea’s steel exports rose 3.67% to 2.04 mnt in May’22 from 1.97 mnt a month ago, SteelMint data shows. Flat steel exports stood at 1.83 mnt (up 3%), longs at 174,972 t (up 12%) and semis at 31,840 t (up 4%) in May. Major export destinations were Japan (245,156 t), USA (264,489 t) and China (177,518 t).
