South Korea: Steel billets imports drop by 25% m-o-m in Sep’22

South Korea’s steel billets imports fell by 25% m-o-m to 81,728 t in Sep’22 compared to 108,498 t in August, as per customs data.
Japan was the largest exporter at 72,888 t, followed by China at 8,554 t.
However, import volumes rose by 13% to 1.25 mnt in Jan-Sep’22 as against 1.11 mnt in the year-ago period.
