South Korea: Steel billet exports slump over 70%, m-o-m, in Aug’22

South Korea’s steel billet exports fell by a whopping 71% m-o-m to 9,104 t in Aug’22 from 31,432 t in Jul’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Japan was the major importer with 8,465 t.
Total export volumes fell by 52% to 153,355 t in Jan-Aug’22 as against 321,988 t in the same period last year.
