- Incheon records highest scrap arrivals
- Busan, Pohang, Danjin see nil imports
SteelDaily: South Korea’s major ports recorded a total of around 27,000 t of imported scrap in the third week of August, as imports helped partially offset the shortfall caused by sluggish domestic scrap generation.
Port-wise arrivals
- Incheon: Arrivals of 7,100 t (highest) were reported, expected to be divided into 2,600 t and 4,500 t.
- Gwangyang: Expected to receive 6,000 t for POSCO.
- Gunsan: Approximately 5,000 t, including two SDCHI shipments of 2,500 t each.
- Jinhae: Port recorded a total of 2,600 t, split into 2,000 and 600-t loads. The port is primarily used by Daehan Steel and Taewoong for scrap imports.
As of this date, no port entry reports have been confirmed for Dangjin, Masan, Busan, or Pohang.
