POSCO has raised stainless steel prices three-fold for Apr’22 deliveries due to the abnormal spike in nickel prices. Prices for 316L extra were first increased from KRW 2.05 million/t ($1,681/t) to KRW 2.15 million/t ($1,763/t). A hike of KRW 500,000/t ($410/t) has been effected for 300 series. 430 cold-rolled steel, however, has a selling price of $1,845/t to $2,091/t based on 2mm thickness.
