South Korea: POSCO raises domestic scrap purchase prices by up to $17/t

POSCO has announced a further hike in scrap procurement prices for its Gwangyang and Pohang steelworks from 14 Jan’22, as per SteelDaily reports.
The company’s purchase price increased by KRW 20,000/t ($17/t) for Weight A scrap, KRW 10,000/t ($8/t) for saengcheol and by KRW 15,000/t ($13/t) for the rest of the grades.
