POSCO is likely to commence inspection at its cold rolling facilities from Oct-Dec’21, according to the latest report published by SteelDaily.
The report says that the 2PCM (pickling cold rolling line) of the Pohang plant completed major repairs between 15-21 Oct’21.
After this, the Gwangyang plant will go on maintenance and repair between mid-Oct-Dec’21. Facility repairs are scheduled for most lines which produce plated steel sheets, pickling steel sheets, and BP.
While, the manufacturer had already completed repairs at its second hot rolling (HR) plant at Pohang steelworks between 11-15 Oct’21, repairs at its first HR plant at Pohang facility have begun from 18 Oct’21 which will last till 1 Nov’21. Hence, sheet supplies from the mill are likely to remain tight in Q4CY’21.
