South Korea: POSCO plans to increase scrap procurement prices by $7/t

South Korean steel giant POSCO, has decided to increase ferrous scrap procurement prices of certain grades by KRW 10,000/t ($7/t) with effect from 17 Jul’24. By plants,

• Pohang Steel works will implement increase in prices of pig iron compression, pig iron (A,B,L), light weight and guillotine grades.
• Gwangyang Steel works will increase prices of lightweight compression and guillotine grades.
