South Korean steel majors POSCO and Hyundai Steel have decided to raise prices of hot-rolled (HR) and cold-rolled (CR) galvanised products by KRW 50,000/t ($40/t) for May’22 sales. Soaring costs of iron ore and coking coal had an impact on susbstrate material (HR) prices further pushing CR galvanised steel prices higher.
