South Korea: POSCO freezes stainless steel prices for March contracts

  • POSCO has decided to freeze prices of both 300 and 400 stainless steels for Mar’23 in consideration of the domestic market, as per SteelDaily.
  • However, for 316 L steel, where prices of molybdenum has soared, the company decided to raise it by KRW 250,000 per tonne ($190/t).
  • From March, POSCO planned to change the price application standard for distribution customers and cold-rolled steel pipe industry customers.
