- South Korea’s major steelmakers are increasing domestic scrap procurement prices by KRW 20,000/t ($15/t) effective 2 Sep’22, as per a Steel Daily report.
- Hyundai Steel, Dongkuk, and SeAH (Besteel and Changwon) will lift prices for their plants.
- Also, POSCO will raise prices for all grades of scrap for the Pohang and Gwangyang plants.
