South Korea: Major steel mills raise domestic scrap buy prices by up to $12/t

Hyundai Steel, SeAH Besteel and Dongkuk Steel are raising scrap purchase prices effective 8 Feb’22, as per SteelDaily reports.
SeAH Besteel is raising prices for all grades by KRW 10,000/t ($8/t) while Dongkuk’s Pohang plant has lifted prices by KRW 15,000/t ($12/t) for all grades.
Hyundai Steel’s Pohang plant has increased prices by KRW 15,000 ($12/t) and the Incheon and Dangjin plants will raise prices by KRW 10,000 ($8/t).
