South Korea: Major steel mill lifts domestic scrap purchase prices by $8/t

South Korean steel mill, Dongkuk Steel, plans to raise scrap purchase prices for its Incheon and Pohang plants, effective 19 Feb’22, as per SteelDaily reports.
The company has lifted prices by KRW 10,000/t ($8/t) for all grades steel scrap for both the plants.
Lower scrap generation has led to the hike in prices of the existing materials.
