South Korea: Major mills to raise domestic scrap purchase prices by $13/t

Hyundai Steel, Dongkuk Steel and other producers have announced a hike in scrap purchase prices from 13 Jan’22 to 21 Jan by KRW 15,000/t ($13/t), as per SteelDaily.
Dongkuk’s Incheon plant and Hwan Steel increased prices and now the company’s purchase price for Weight A is KRW 620,000/t ($522/t).
Hyundai Steel raised prices for its Incheon and Dangjin works for all grades, excluding saengcheol.
