Korean steel mills have announced a price hike in cold rolled (CR) products for Sept’21 sales in anticipation of healthy demand and pricing trend in the second half of this year and also owing to the recent removal of China’s export rebate of 13% in cold-rolled coils (CRC) and galvanised iron (GI) including others, with effect from 1 Aug’21, according to SteelDaily.
POSCO:Pohang Iron and Steel Co Ltd (POSCO), the largest steel manufacturer in South Korea, has announced the list price for non-plated materials viz cold-rolled (CR), picked and oiled (PO) and full hard (FH), will move up by WON 50,000/t ($43/t) whereas for plated products such as hot-dipped galvanised steel iron (HGI), galvanised iron (GI) and electro-galvanised steel (EGI) an increase of WON 70,000/t ($60/t) is planned.
Hyundai Steel:An integrated steel mill in Korea, has announced a revision in the list prices of cold-rolled (CR) and galvanised iron (GI). The prices have moved up by WON 50,000/t ($43/t) and 70,000/t ($60/t) respectively with effect from 1 Sept’21.
Dongkuk Steel:The steel major has added WON 50,000/t in cold-rolled (CR) and WON 100,000/t ($86/t) in pre-painted galvanised iron (PPGI) with effect from 1 Sept’21.
KB Dongbu:A steel major, has reportedly announced a hike in the list price of cold-rolled (CR) by WON 50,000/t ($43/t), for galvanised iron (GI) by WON 70,000/t ($60/t) and pre-painted galvanised iron (PPGI) by WON 100,000/t ($86) with effect from 1 Sept’21.
Posco CNC:From 1 Sept’21, POSCO cnc has raised galvanised iron (GI) prices by WON 70,000/t ($60/t) along with WON 100,000/t ($86/t) for pre-painted galvanised iron (PPGI).
Seah CM:The steel producer has lifted prices of galvanised iron (GI) by 70,000/t ($60/t) and pre-painted galvanised iron (PPGI) by 100,000/t ($86) with effect from today.
