South Korea: Major mills lift domestic scrap prices after 5 months

South Korean steel majors have hiked domestic scrap purchase prices after five months owing to limited inventories and improving demand of rebar, as per SteelDaily.
Hyundai Steel (for Incheon, Pohang and Dangjin works), Daehan, YK and Korea Steel raise prices by KRW 20,000/t ($15/t) for all grades.
Dongkuk Steel increases prices by KRW 10,000/t ($7/t) for its Incheon plant, effective 23 Aug.
