South Korea: Iron ore imports rise over 40%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

South Korea’s iron ore imports rose significantly by 42.04% in Mar’22 to 6.09 mnt as against 4.29 mnt in Feb, as per data released by customs.
Australia was the largest exporter with 4.29 mnt, followed by Canada with 0.76 mnt.
However, import volumes fell marginally by 12% to 16.04 mnt in Jan-Mar’22 compared with 18.17 mnt in the same period last year.
