South Korea: Iron ore imports fall 18% y-o-y in CY’22

South Korea’s iron ore (including pellets) imports decreased by 18% y-o-y to 61 mnt in CY’22 from 74.22 mnt in the previous calendar year, as per customs data.
Australia was the leading exporter at 45.56 mnt followed by Brazil at 6.25 mnt.
The country’s iron ore (including pellets) imports decreased by 7% m-o-m to 4.64 mnt in Dec’22 from 4.98 mnt in Nov’22.
