South Korea Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Silico Manganese from India, Vietnam and Ukraine

South Korea has decided to impose anti-dumping duties on Silico Manganese imported from Vietnam, India, and Ukraine.

The Korea Trade Commission (KTC), has completed its investigation and made a final decision to levy punitive duties of 4.06-19.06% on Silico Manganese imported from the three countries, for causing damage to the local industry.

Earlier, after a preliminary examination, KTC had recommended the Finance Ministry of Korea to impose a preliminary tariff between 6.08-32.32%.

Preliminary Anti-dumping duties on Indian Silico Manganese was as follows:
Mortex Group – 32.21%
Anjaney Ferro Alloys Ltd., Maithan Alloys Ltd. – 11.15%
Indsil – 6.08%
Others – 11.15%

The KTC concluded that there is enough evidence of anti-dumping practices and substantial damage to the South Korean steel industry.

South Korea Silico Manganese Imports – Ukraine, Vietnam, and India contribute almost entirely to South Korea’s total Silico Manganese imports.
