- Hyundai Steel has lowered the scrap purchase price for its major steelworks by KRW 10,000/t ($8/t), effective 17 Dec’21.
- The buy price for the Dangjin steelworks has been reduced to KRW 580,000/t ($491/t) and for the Pohang plant the price now stands at KRW 595,000/t ($503/t), as per Korean Steel Daily reports.
- Notably, the company had lowered bids for Japanese scrap by $4-18/t last week.
