South Korea: Hot-dip galvanised steel sheet exports rise by 4%, y-o-y, in CY’21

South Korea’s hot-dip galvanised steel sheet exports stood at 1.47 mn t in CY’21, up 4% against 1.41 mn t in CY’20. In Dec, export volumes jumped 7% on the month and 10% y-o-y to 133,229 t. South Korean mills achieved highest-ever exports in Dec, as per SteelDaily reports. HDGI imports surged 57% to 0.97 mn t in CY’21 versus 0.62 mn t in CY’20. In Dec, imports dropped 34% m-o-m to 33,221 t.
