South Korea: Flat steel exports dip 1% to 2 mnt in Jan’22

South Korea’s flat steel exports dropped 1% to 2 mnt in Jan’22 compared to 2.02 mnt in the preceding month, SteelMint data reveals. On an annual basis, exports rose 3% as against 1.95 mnt in Jan’21.

• HRC and plates exports decreased by 16% m-o-m to 0.64 mnt.
• CRC exports stood at 0.34 mnt, up 11% m-o-m.
• China, the USA and Japan were the leading steel importers from South Korea in Jan.
