South Korea: Ferrous scrap imports increase over 50% in Mar’22

South Korea has imported 0.56 mnt of scrap in Mar’22 against 0.37 mnt in February, a significant hike of 51% m-o-m, as per data maintained with SteelMint.
On a y-o-y basis, too, imports surged by 93% from 0.29 mnt.
Imports from Japan remained high at 0.33 mnt, followed by USA and Russia with 0.10 and 0.05 mnt in March.
