South Korea: Ferrous scrap imports increase by 18%, m-o-m, in Sep’22

South Korea imported 327,705 t of scrap in Sep’22 as against 277,239 t in Aug’22, an increase of 18% m-o-m, as per data maintained with SteelMint.
Japan was the top exporter at 270,260 t, followed by Russia at 31,316 t and the USA at 11,354 t.
Import volumes in Jan-Sep’22 totalled 3.48 mnt, a 5% rise as compared to the same period last year.
