South Korea: Ferrous scrap imports inch up 3% m-o-m in Jan’23

South Korea imported 301,742 t of ferrous scrap in Jan’23 as against 293,976 t in Dec’22, an increase of 3% m-o-m, as per data maintained with SteelMint.
Japan continued to be the largest exporter at 265,811 t followed by USA at 16,127 t and Russia at 8,179 t.
On a y-o-y basis, import volume dipped by 3% as compared to 312,070 t in Jan’22.
