South Korea Ferrous Scrap Import Down by 8% in Sep’16

With the recent release of trade data by South Korean Custom it is legible that the nation imported 0.49 MnT ferrous scrap in Sep’16, registered a downfall of 8% M-o-M in Sep’16 against 0.53 MnT imported in Aug’16. On Similar lines, import were down by 14% Y-o-Y in Sep’16 against 0.57 MnT ferrous scrap imported in Sep’15.
The nation imported 4.21 MnT ferrous scrap during the first nine months of CY’16 as against 4.28 MnT imported during the same period of last year.

Import from Japan Increases by 8% in Sep’16

South Korea imported 0.27 MnT ferrous scrap from Japan in Sep’16, registered a growth of 8% M-o-M against 0.25 MnT imported during Aug’16. Import were up by 35% Y-o-Y in Sep’16 against 0.20 MnT imported in Sep’15.

Import from Russia Decreases by 9% in Sep’16

South Korea imported 0.10 MnT ferrous scrap from Russia in Sep’16, registered a downfall of 9% M-o-M in Sep’16 against 0.11 MnT imported in Aug’16. Import were up by 25% Y-o-Y against 0.08 MnT imported during Sep’15.

Import from The United States of America down by 57% in Sep’16

South Korea imported 0.06 MnT ferrous scrap from USA in Sep’16, registered a downfall of 57% M-o-M against 0.14 MnT imported in Aug’16. Import were down by 74% Y-o-Y in Sep’16 against 0.23 MnT imported in Sep’15.

Ferrous Scrap Import from Australia and Puerto Rico

South Korea imported 0.03 MnT ferrous scrap from Australia in Sep’16, very nominal quantities of ferrous scrap were imported in past by the nation

South Korea imported 0.01 MnT ferrous scrap from Puerto Rico in Sep’16, import remained stable Y-o-Y, a very nominal quantity was imported in Aug’16.
