South Korea imported 5,641,848 MT ferrous scrap in CY’16, as per the recent trade data released by South Korean Customs.
In CY’16, the nation witnessed a growth of 3% Y-o-Y in imports against 5,457,023 MT ferrous scrap imported in CY’15.
In Dec’16, South Korea imported 492,996 MT ferrous scrap, registered a growth of 11% M-o-M against 445,730 MT imported in Nov’16. On similar lines, import were up by 33% Y-o-Y against 369,387 MT imported in the same month in CY’15.
Country Wise South Korean Ferrous Scrap Imports
• South Korea imported 3,340,379 MT ferrous scrap from Japan during CY’16, registered a growth of 10% Y-o-Y against 3,036,529 MT imported during CY’15.
• South Korea Imported 1,031,705 MT ferrous scrap from Russian Federation during CY’16, registered a growth of 17% Y-o-Y against 883,600 MT imported during CY’15.
• South Korea imported 871,171 MT ferrous scrap from United States during CY’16, registered a downfall of 8% Y-o-Y against 948,070 MT imported during CY’15.
• South Korea imported 23,421 MT ferrous scrap from Slovenia during CY’16, registered a downfall of 81% Y-o-Y against 122,939 MT imported during CY’15.
• South Korea imported 59,672 MT ferrous scrap from Puerto Rico during CY’16, registered a downfall of 7% Y-o-Y against 64,459 MT imported during CY’15.
• South Korea imported 44,017 MT ferrous scrap from Australia during CY’16, registered a downfall of 23% Y-o-Y against 57,095 MT imported during CY’15.
