According to the South Korean customs, the country has witnessed a substantial increase of 38% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy imports.
In Jul’17, South Korea imported a total of 0.11 MnT Ferro Alloys against 0.08 MnT in Jun’17. Moreover, on yearly basis, there has been a significant increase in its imports by 57% Y-o-Y against 0.07 MnT in Jul’16.
Ferro Chrome occupied the major volume of South Korean Ferro Alloy imports at 0.08 MnT in Jul’17 registering an increase of 60% M-o-M.
South Korea also imported Ferro Silicon at 0.02 MnT in Jul’17 witnessing no change in contrast to previous month. Similarly, there has been no change in import volume of Silico Manganese at 0.01 MnT in Jul’17 against Jun’17.
South Africa remains the largest exporter of Ferro Alloys to South Korea at 0.05 MnT in Jul’17, recording a substantial increase of 67% against 0.03 MnT in Jun’17. India exported 0.02 MnT Ferro Alloys to South Korea in Jul’17 while China exported 0.01 MnT.
