South Korea: Ferro Alloy Imports Down by 13% M-o-M in May’17

South Korean Ferro Alloy imports witnessed a fall of 13% M-o-M in May’17 against Apr’17.

South Korea has imported 0.07 MnT in May’17, as per South Korean Trade Customs. In Apr’17, the said country has imported 0.08 MnT of Ferro Alloys.

Moreover, Ferro Alloy import by South Korea registered a decrease of around 22% Y-o-Y in May’17 against May’16 at 0.09 MnT.

In May’17, the only products imported by South Korea were Ferro Chrome and Ferro Silicon at 0.04 MnT and 0.02 MnT respectively.

South Africa is generally the largest exporter of Ferro Alloys to South Korea. However, in May’17, India surpassed South Africa and became the largest exported to South Korea followed by South Africa and China.
