South Korea: Aug’21 flat steel exports drop 2%, m-o-m

South Korea’s finished flat steel exports stood at 1.739 mn t in Aug’21, down 2% compared to 1.775 mn t a month ago, as per customs data.

• HRC/plates exports down marginally by 1% to 569,933 t.
• Electrical steel exports at 189,533 t, while pipes and tubes exports at 126,747 t – down 12% and 21% respectively.
• CRC exports stable at 311,355 t. Exports of galvanised steel at 512,565 t in Aug.
