Sponge iron prices in Karnataka’s Bellary have moved up by INR 50-150/t on 7 Jul’21 on improving bids along with sufficient orders in hand with the suppliers. Meanwhile, most of plants are holding sale rather than selling sponge at lower rates.
- About 4,200 t of P-DRI deals were confirmed at INR 27,000-27,200/t against offers at INR 27,400/t, exw & the deals concluded were for Hyderabad and Maharashtra.
- Sponge C-DRI offers stand at INR 28,000/t ($375) & a few bids have been reported at INR 27,700-27,800/t, exw-Bellary. About, 600 t C-DRI deals were reported by manufacturers at INR 27,900-28,000/t exw.
