The imported scrap trade in South Asian countries remained muted today, with India’s market mostly slow and local prices dropping by INR 200-400/t across the region. Sellers are not receiving any response from mills.
In Pakistan, local scrap is offered at Rs. 145,000-147,000/t, while imported offers were at Rs. 165,000/t. Bangladesh’s import market saw little activity as market players are waiting for sentiments to turn supportive. No fresh deals were recorded.
