South African Spot non-coking coal prices fell to $84/MT
FOB; the lowest level since early December 2012 for cargoes to be loaded in
February.
3800 GAR and 4200 GAR (FOB South Kalimantan) is hovering at
around $33/MT and $40/MT respectively with unchanged price offers.
“Prices for Indonesian coal remained unchanged and are
expected to remain around the same level till the Chinese New Year”, said an
importer based in Mumbai.
Freight charges to East Coast India (ECI) from Richards Bay (South Africa) port have remained unchanged with capesize vessel attracting a
freight of $12/MT. Freight from South Kalimantan (Indonesia) stands firm at $11/MT on supramax basis.
