In a confirmed deal, 5,000 tonne of South African RB2 (5500 NAR) coal has been sold at INR 5,350/t (ex. cess and GST) ex-Gangavaram, down by INR 150/t w-o-w. Despite the rise in API4 index, domestic portside prices for RB2 are falling amid reduced demand from the sponge sector and also increased domestic coal availability.
