South African Manganese Ore Exports down by 12.56% in Nov’18

Manganese ore exports from South Africa reduced from 1.76 MnT in Oct’18 to 1.53 MnT in Nov’18 which accounts to 12.56% decrease. However, exports were recorded highest for the Month of Oct’18 followed by the exports in the month of Jul’18.

China being the major importer for South Africa experienced a hike in imports by 29.54% in 2018 on Y-o-Y basis. China accounts for 62% of the exports of Manganese Ore from South Africa followed by India which accounts for 9%. India, unlike China experienced a downfall of 19.87% on Y-o-Y basis. However on M-o-M basis, India increased its imports from South Africa by 16.03% in the month of Nov’18 as compared to Oct’18.

In the CY’18, the Exports increased by 15.37% on Y-o-Y basis for the period Jan-Nov’18. South Korea experienced a remarkable hike in imports after China on Y-o-Y basis which accounted for 27.71%.
