South African lump offers surge following rise in global iron ore offers

With global iron ore fines prices hitting $ 150/t, CFR China, imported lump offers to India have also increased. SteelMint’s assessment for imported lump stands at around $155-160/t, CNF Kandla, up by $25-30/t m-o-m. With sharp hike in imported offers, inquiries have slowed down, sources reported. A couple of imported lump vessels were booked by western and southern India based mills in last one month, SteelMint learned.
